The author wrote this article in the fall of 2019 before West's anti-Semitic comments occurring in the fall of '22. The following is a social-cultural critique of West's Yeezys and artistry specifically at that point in time. The author is Jewish, strongly condemns West's hate speech, and does not support his art.
